To validate a certificate, the certificate authority may usually ask for any one of these documents:
- Articles of Incorporation (with address)
- Government Issued Business License (with address)
- Copy of a recent company bank statement (you may blacken out Account No)
- Copy of a recent company phone bill
- Copy of a recent major utility bill of the company (i.e. power bill, water bill, etc.)
- Current lease agreement for the company
- Certificate of Formation
- Charter Documents
- Registration of Trade Name
- Partnership Papers
- Fictitious Name Statement
- Vendor/Reseller/Merchant License
- Merchant certificate
